The Weekend Wagon is a free weekly email guide for families in Indian Trail, Waxhaw, and Matthews, North Carolina. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you sign up for the newsletter. That is the only thing we ask for.
• Basic email activity, such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. Our email service provider records this to help us see which topics are useful.
• Anonymous visit data about this website, such as which pages are viewed and roughly what country a visit comes from. We use two tools for this. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies. Google Analytics does set cookies to count visits and see which pages are useful. We have turned off Google’s advertising features, so this data is not used to show you ads. You can block Google Analytics with your browser’s privacy settings or a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
• Messages you send us. If you email hello@theweekendwagon.com, we keep your message and address so we can reply.

How we use it

• To send you the Thursday newsletter and the confirmation email when you join.
• To understand which pages and topics families find useful, so we can improve the guide.
• To reply when you write to us.

We do not sell your email address or share it with advertisers.

Who handles your information

Your email address is stored and sent to through Kit (kit.com), our email service provider. This website is hosted by Cloudflare, and Google provides our site analytics. These companies process information on our behalf and have their own privacy policies.

Confirming your signup

When you sign up, we send an email asking you to confirm. You are only added to the newsletter after you click the confirmation link.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe anytime using the link at the bottom of every email.
• Ask us to delete your information by writing to hello@theweekendwagon.com. We will take care of it.

Children

The Weekend Wagon is written for parents and caregivers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
